Madrid, 24 September 2026 — Through its electric mobility brand ZEROID, QEV Technologies has delivered an eCitybus+ to GLOBAL to support more sustainable mobility in Gran Canaria. The vehicle is being presented at FIAA 2026 before entering service with the island’s transport operator.
The eCitybus+ is built on ZEROID’s FORCE chassis cab and features an interior designed by TEKAYDINLAR. The vehicle combines QEV Technologies’ electric engineering expertise with a body designed to provide accessibility, comfort and efficiency in urban services.

A solution tailored to mobility in Gran Canaria
The unit delivered to GLOBAL is configured with 15 seats and seven standing places, in addition to the driver. Its two wide doors and rear low-floor area enable fast passenger flow and agile operation in urban environments.
The 140 kWh battery provides a range of up to 309 kilometres according to the SORT cycle. The system supports DC fast charging at up to 80 kW, as well as AC charging. Its electric motor delivers a maximum power output of 150 kW and maximum torque of 1,000 Nm.
The vehicle features independent climate control for the driver and passengers, panoramic windows, acoustic insulation, LED interior lighting, information systems and a comprehensive suite of advanced driver assistance systems. Its configuration has been designed to meet the specific requirements of island mobility, combining manoeuvrability, capacity and operational efficiency.

The handover is being presented at FIAA with the participation of a delegation from Gran Canaria comprising Ruymán Santana Hernández, Managing Director of the Gran Canaria Transport Authority; Heriberto Godoy Santiago, President of GLOBAL; Octavio González Guerra, Vice-President of GLOBAL; Saulo Castro González, Deputy Director of GLOBAL; and Yurena Vega Reyes, Director of Fleet and Infrastructure at GLOBAL.

The ZEROID eCitybus+ destined for GLOBAL can be seen at FIAA 2026, from 22 to 24 September, in Hall 9, Stand 9A12A at IFEMA Madrid. The vehicle is now ready to enter service.
